Julie has been coaching cheer since 2009. She has coached at multiple schools including Burns HS, South Umpqua HS, Douglas HS and now Roseburg. She was a 4 year Varsity cheerleader in high school way back in the dark ages. Julie took over the RHS Cheer program in 2018 and has since led them to their first state placement in 20 years and Grand Champions at 2022 and 2024 OCCA Championships. Julie works as an RN and enjoys laughing at Tiktoks in her spare time.
In 2022, Emily joined the RHS coaching staff, where she currently leads the tumbling program. With a decade of tumbling coaching under her belt, dating back to 2012, she also contributes to the track and field team as a pole vault coach. Her previous experience includes coaching with Roseburg Junior Cheer. Beyond coaching, Emily is a valued math teacher at Roseburg High. Her own athletic background includes high school cheerleading and more than ten years of gymnastics training. Outside of work and coaching, she prioritizes staying active, enjoying the outdoors, and cherishing time with her beloved dog.
Alexa has been dancing since the age of 2, developing a deep passion for movement and performance. She cheered throughout high school and competed in All-Star cheer, gaining extensive experience in the sport. She was an assistant coach at South Umpqua, sharing her knowledge and love for cheerleading with the next generation. Her dance journey also includes time performing with the Portland Trail Blazers, further showcasing her talent at a professional level. Above all, Alexa is absolutely obsessed with her daughter, who is eagerly looking forward to joining Roseburg Junior Cheer.
Mattie joined the RHS cheer team as JV assistant coach in 2024. She brings nine years of diverse cheer experience and is excited to be coaching at Roseburg High School. When she is not coaching, Mattie works as an HR assistant at Mercy Medical Center or she is out with her dog Harvey.
